WHISKEY MYERS - SINGLE REVIEW

Whiskey Myers - Antioch

Release Date: Out Now

I love discovering new artists but there's always an extra treat when you come to an artist and have a back catalogue to explore. Texans Whiskey Myers are one such band and, based on new single 'Antioch', exploring that back catalogue is going to be quite a treat. Coming through the saloon doors in a blaze of horn and organ fuelled glory, this latest release is the real deal with a full band and back singers stacked up behind the southern drawl of front man Cody Cannon. Dealing with the issue of domestic abuse, this is no soulless party song, however, and the power of those horns really hits home under the chorus line of "mama don't cry when daddy's gone".
