THE BAREFOOT BANDIT - SINGLE REVIEW

The Barefoot Bandit - Big Guns

Release Date: Out Now

Westcountry collective the Barefoot Bandit return with their huge new single 'Big Guns' that will be setting the vibe at festivals all over the UK this summer. The slowed down skank fuelled by a heavenly horn section has a real weight to it and the lyrics about heirogliphic translator Jean-Francois Champollion elevate this way above party Reggae. I'm genuinely transfixed by this song as the rattling drums and low, low bass keep you moving along and the rest of the band throw their elements in as though their involved in a chilled out dance off on a beach at sundown. Intelligent, funky, brilliantly performed and superbly written stuff. Colour me impressed.
