As debut singles go, this release from Kelsey Gill is remarkably accomplished, stylish and confident. 'Rob Me Blind' comes in with a swagger and sway driven by a playful bassline and shuffling beat but it's Gill's vocals that really catch your attention as they mix soulful pop vocals with an easy rap flow that puts me in mind of Kelis, Alicia Keys, Ariana Grande or Beyonce. With less than three minutes on the clock, this track packs in more ideas, more style and more performance than most artists manage in a whole album so make a note of the name because Kelsey Gill has the voice and the talent to do big, big things.
