Charlotte Sands - Lost

In the world of Spotify's ever decreasing song length algorithms, this latest single from Charlotte Sands is positively epic but I still think anything under three minutes has a bit of punk spirit about it. 'Lost' comes in at just over two and a half minutes and doesn't waste any time as the pulsating bass line encourages Sands to spit her lyrics out with a sense of urgency. When the chorus drops, the indie-pop aesthetic kicks in hard and you just want to drive at speed with the top down and this track blaring out of the stereo. "I'm just a little bit lost, you're a little bit lost, we're a little bit lost but that's OK" she sings and it could be the rallying cry for a generation emerging from a pandemic in to World War III while they try to work out who they are, how they feel and how to love. Who wouldn't be a little bit lost?
