London trio Cheerbleederz are bringing out a new album this year and new single 'Cute As Hell' is the first salvo from it. The speed-chug of the guitars and deadpan vocal delivery are arch British indie signifiers and put me in mind of classic acts like Lush, Sleeper, Frente and Echobelly in the best possible way. There's an intensive and obsessive energy to this song which itches and twitches in all the right places with just enough charm to make you still want to buy it a drink but maybe not give it your full name. Looking forward to the album if this trac is anything to go by (and I strongly suspect it is).
