There's such an edge and rawness to quartet BAIT that you'd be forgiven for taking them as an acerbic rock band but there are layers here that are worth you taking the time to explore. Beneath the churn of fuzzed up guitars on 'My Tribe' and beyond the punchy drums, there is a feeling of sheer panic and confusion brought about by the weight of information, disinformation and emotion that came crashing down on us all at the start of the pandemic. There are layers, like I said, but some of them are made of lead, concrete and slate. And wet wool.
