I'm really not sure what I expected from this track but it certainly wasn't this. Amy Swift's new single 'Views' comes on hard and strong as a woozy, disorientated pop song with wonky piano notes bouncing on top of a rolling bass note. The vocals weave and swerve like smoke in a jazz club but one that has been filmed in bullet time and when the drums join in this track takes on a whole new life. 90s inspired vibes with elements of Portishead in there but also a huge vocal that owes more to soul than it does to trip-hop. Mesmerising stuff.
