Yova are a duo of musicians who, with new single 'Haunted', have conjured up an ethereal and altogether wintry piece of beauty. A single, mournful vioin note slithers in on the sharp wind through a crack in the window before Jova Radevska's voice whispers in to life and the soft padding bass notes nudge you awak like a sleepy dog. Piano notes are added to make the tune swell and beats eventually cap things off to bring things to a tumultuous and triumphant climax. Like Elbow switching out Guy Garvey for Beth Orton and writing a song in an abandoned farmhouse somewhere in the middle of the Lake District.
