I've always been impressed by Please Prettylea's storytelling and musical style but this new single takes things to a new level. 'Shovelling Shit' manages to perfectly encampsulate that moment between the peak of drunk fun and the hangover kicking in whilst setting it to a circus version of R&B complete with costumes. Imagine TLC and Janelle Monae following Alice in to Wonderland with a bottle of tequila and you're starting to understand the shadow world that Please Prettylea is the queen of and you enter at your own peril.
