Good lord, Ahi, what are you trying to do to me? Between this beautifully written new song and his directorial debut on the emotional video, the Toronto talent has absolutely slayed me. 'Say It To Me' walks the fine line between soul and gospel with a deftness and lightness of touch that puts me in mind of Ben Harper at his most tender and raw. Ahi's voice comes through powerfully while the choir swells and the simple arrangement packs a punch where it counts as this song communicates grief, loss, regret, love, redemption, kindness and a whole lot more. Ahi's new album is out in November and on the basis of recent releases it is going to be a must-listen.
