PATTERN PUSHER - SINGLE REVIEW

Pattern Pusher - Happy Place

Release Date: Out Now

Pattern Pusher are continuing to make 2021 their year despite difficult times both personally and professionally with the live music scene teetering on the brink. However, if the dark thoughts start to take over then take a leaf out of the Exeter trio's new single 'Happy Place' (I realise you can't take a leaf out of a single but let's not dwell on mixed metaphors, shall we?). That trademark lightness and slick pop melody is there as is the punchiest of rhythm sections around at the moment and some genuinely dubious dance moves. There is soul, a retro feel, wry humour in the video and the kind of chorus that makes you want to dance, sing along and let your troubles melt away. There are a few live dates coming up and with NME raving about a string of triumphant festival appearances this summer I would get booking your tickets if I were you.
