Jessie Reid - Hold Me Tight

British folk talent Jessie Reid has crafted a song that might just see her cross over to the mainstream and that's never an easy task. 'Hold Me Tight' hangs around the rippling acoustic notes played at the low end with Reid's assured and smooth vocal weaving in and out like a silk ribbon. This would be find on its own but when mixed with the uptempo beat that would fit a Hip-Hop track just as well and the vocal "heys" used to emphasise the rhythm it makes this song stand out. It is almost seen as a slur to compare someone's music to Ed Sheeran these days but I would suggest that this track has a lot in common with the work Sheeran did with writing partner Amy Wadge and that, as far as I'm concerned, is a compliment.
