Toronto's Chiara Young is on a pop-rock warpath with those that would pigeon hole a person by their gender or societal role. 'I Don't Wear Skirts' has a touch of the Avril Lavignes to it but with a more 2021 sound and the kind of lyrical swearing that actually works rather than jarring. Throw in some crunchy guitars, some punchy drums and powerful vocals with plenty of attitude and you've got a recipe for the kind or pop-rock anthem that will have arms waving and crowds singing along.
