I think Hip-Hop/Jazz outfit Project Hilts could well be defined as an ensemble in traditional terminology. Whatever you call them, new single 'Dark Side' is an enormously impressive duet that pings between Jazzy, soulful vocals and a more direct rap style that presents the other side of the argument. The shuffling beat, soft horns and sprinkled piano make for luxurious listening that you want to sink in to with a Cadbury's Flake and the phone off the hook (or on Airplane modern parlance). I think that's what I love about this tune; the timeless qualities that hark back to Sade at her peak are met by a fresh, contemporary feel that is just intoxicating and infectious. The perfect combination.
