On the face of it, this new single from Kaylee Patterson is a song about loneliness and missing the one you love. However, 'Time Machine' actually tackles the idea of going back to before you even fell in love and owning that happiness you had without relying on anyone else. The gentle Meghan Trainor meets Jack Johnson melody is a bobbing and swaying kind of tune that will appeal to all age groups and, in that respect, there's a universal lullaby appeal to the track. Indeed, Patterson's voice is breathy and warm which adds to the soothing tone of the whole experience which is hard not to fall in love with.
