There's a rough and raw energy to this new single from Suffolk singer-songwriter Billy Hunt that is incredibly appealing. That's not to say 'Intoxicate' is badly performed, however, as Hunt's soulful voice shines through with no elaboration required atop the furiously strummed acoustic guitar and driving beat. For a young man Hunt has a huge maturity in his voice and every lived experience comes through strongly and the songwriting backs that up so if you're looking for someone between Ed Sheeran, Frank Turner and Joe Cocker then you're in luck (you also have very specific tastes).
