There's a real 80s arthouse vibe to the new release from LA star Beck Black as 'She's A OK' rattles along with real vibrancy and energy. Elements of Blondie, Gary Numan and Siouxsie Sioux are all there but there's also a more contemporary freshness that would see this sit neatly alongside the likes of Sleigh Bells, the Long Blondes or the Ting Tings. Black's voice is full of Valley sneer and pop nous but it's the music that moves from intense city streets to sweeping desert vistas which really makes this stand out.
