This is genuinely arresting and thoroughly engaging new single from New York artist Alicia Walter. 'Prelude' hangs around an insistent beat and a sampled fragment of a voice before Alicia's joyful and unbridled vocals join in, soaring on a thermal of love high above ice cold mountains. Musically, this track owes more than a nod to Japanese electronic music with sudden blasts of sound but, at all times, a complete and overwelming sense of happiness. I could make comparisons but they would only tell part of the story because Alicia Walter is a truly unique and uniquely talented artist.
