Growing up as the child of Iranian immigrants to America in a conservative Persian-Jewish community is not necessarily the traditional route in to the alt-pop scene but that hasn't stopped New York based Nazanin. 'Dangerous' is the latest single from the NYC artist and it features a pulsating beat with some atmospherics creating a twilight, dusky scene for Nazanin's voice to roll in to. There is a soulful tone to the vocals but with a definite poppy edge as she sings her song as a warning to those that underestimate her. There's a real club quality to this but it would work just as well being pumped out of a car stereo with the bass levels set high and the neon streets of New York reflected in the tinted windows.
