FROGI – SINGLE REVIEW

Frogi – Phantom Limb (Apartment 22)

Release Date: Out Now

LA’s Frogi has such a wonderfully dreamy quality to her voice that I was mesmerised by this release upon first listen. ‘Phantom Limb’ is an incredibly touching letter from Frogi to her younger self, calling back through time to offer advice and comfort to the reckless and heartbroken girl she once was. “You’re crying out for him but he’s just a phantom limb” she sings over slow and sparse melodies that are part lullaby and part slow-dance. This wouldn’t feel out of place on a Madison Beer album in terms of style but when it comes to content this feels more like Laura Marling which is unique and interesting to say the least.
