There is a lot to love about this
new single from Arizona’s DEVORA so let’s just dive in to ‘Body Bag’, shall we?
Firstly, there is the whole ‘prison break’ shtick of the video which has DEVORA
breaking out set to a brooding and menacing guitar melody that is as much
swagger as it is rock’n’roll attitude. Then there’s the vocals which are a dead
eyed and clenched teeth delight – “I wanna put you in a body bag, how’s that
for a comeback?” she sings unblinkingly. The Primal Scream jamming with Queens of
the Stone Age with Angie on vocals vibe is another strong point, as is the
video with the sexy monk backing dancers and Arizona outlaw vibe. This is an
all round blast.
