BLURRED VISION FEAT. MOLLIE MARRIOTT - SINGLE REVIEW

Blurred Vision feat. Mollie Marriott - Instant
Karma

Release Date: Out Now

Normally, I wouldn't touch a John Lennon cover with a barge pole tied to a javelin tied to a rubber glove. However, this is no normal cover and Blurred Vision aren't just trying to piggy pack on the legend of Lennon. Along with Mollie Marriott on guest vocal duties, Blurred Vision have covered Instant Karma as part of an 80th birthday celebration for Lennon with all proceeds going to the excellent War Child charity. The cover itself is pretty faithful to the original (aside from the female vocals) but it sounds fresh, bouncy and raw like it should. Frontman Sepp Osley brings some extra depth to the song and the charity with a childhood that saw him flee war torn Iran for Canada where he pursued a career in music and founder of the Dear John concerts. I think John Lennon would approve wholeheartedly.
