Raye Robinson – Daisies

The gentle piano melody and soft
vocals of ‘Daisies’ is the kind of sound that draws you in and puts an arm
around you so come on in and enjoy this one. When the rhythm section kicks in
and Raye Robinson really opens up those vocals then you know you’re listening to
a proper indie-pop banger which has Lily Allen, Kate Nash and Regina Spektor vibes
running through it. There’s a child-like quality to this track which is
adorable but I don’t mean that in a condescending way because the Ben Folds level
of song writing elevates this high up above anything you could look down on.
