This song takes a little while to
get used to but on second or third listen I reckon you’ll really fall in love
with it. UK duo Push Baby release lo-fi anthem ‘Cry/Talk About It’ start out
with a simple guitar riff and vocals that sound like the love child of Cher and
Justin Beiber so you’d be forgiven for being suspicious but when that beat
kicks in, the groove gets deep and the vibe is incredibly uplifting. There’s
soul, emotion, pop, beats, a LOT of orange juice and the kind of energy that
you’d expect from some Japanese techno outfit creating a ballad about feelings
and junk. It's batshit crazy but I think I love it.
