Angeles and London comes Nadia Vaeh with her tribute to staying at home and the
adventures you can have. ‘Never Leave the Basement’ takes us on a journey
through the different decades on the video but the song itself is very much a
pop banger that the likes of Katy Perry, DYLYN or Taylor Swift would happily
have on their albums. Vaeh’s voice is slick and perfectly pitched for the genre
while the tune builds perfectly for the chorus chant of “I never have to leave
the basement”. In other times this would be considered reclusive song but in
this ‘unprecedented’ time this is actually an anthem for finding freedom from
within four walls.
