As always, Frank Turner has his finger on the pulse of the music loving nation and ‘The Gathering’ is the call to arms we all need to get back out there and rock. A desperate vocal is joined by a rock’n’roll riff with no frills but plenty of thrills and boy does it give you the chills when Turner sings “I’ve been missing the feeling when we close up the gaps up between us”. There’s politics, there’s emotion and there’s positivity – this is Frank Turner at his very best and you just know his shows are going to be explosively cathartic after so long stuck inside which is handy because he’s just announced a few dates with some epic supports….
