I will get to the song in a
minute but I wanted to mention the video for this release as it is an
incredibly moving and well-acted piece of film making that is well worth
watching. Now, video aside, ‘The Bright Lights’ is the new release from
US/Swedish duo Flora Cash which initially hangs off a woozily wonky guitar
melody and soft, confessional vocals. The song swells with piano, strings and
increased confidence in the vocals as the story unfolds in the video and you’re
left with a sense of completeness and closure as both strand come together.
