Chaii & Party Favor - Oh Nah Yeah (BMG)

I'm a big fan of Persian-New Zealand artist Chaii so I was keen to see what her hook up with DJ/Producer Party Favor would turn out like and, well, it's a little bit special. 'Oh Nah Yeah' features the kind of dark electro melodies that made Linkin Park so emotive but mixed with Chaii's vocal that sounds like it comes straight outta South London creating something incredibly urban and gritty but also uplifting and energising. For me, the vocal is a little low in the mix and the track is way too short at just over two minutes but it's always best to leave folks wanting more rather than less and the video is a trip so, on the balance of things, I'll give this one a gold star.
