Bruza - She Wants Sum

"Took a trip to the market, got a trim from the barbers, sorted out my Barnet, yeah mate that's nice and sharp". So begins 'She Wants Sum', the new single from East London's Bruza. Now, from those lyrics this could be anything from a George Formby cover to a cockney punk anthem but its not, this is Grime and it is brilliant. A sinister melody and skittish beat is matched with a stream of consciousness about getting ready for a night out with mates on the pull which might sound alien these days but it's as natural as breathing. That said, I'd love to hear George Formby singing "She wants some hanky panky, hanky panky, bag of weed and brandy or whatever you fancy". My only regret with this is that there's no video because this is primed for a story telling night out visual.
