London based French duo Zebrah bring
new single ‘Hey Mama’ to the world this week and if you like deep rock’n’roll
grooves mixed with Jazz arrangements and breathy French vocals then you will
love it. The guitars are razor sharp, the beat is tight and punchy, and the
vibe is experimentally cool which all makes for a pretty neat package but when
you wrap it up in the bow of Pauline Janier’s vocals then you’ve got something
truly special. For fans of Frank Zappa, Soulwax, Christine & the Queens and
Gossip for sure but also for all those with a pair of ears and an open mind.
