There are some songs that feel like old friends as soon as you press play and 'Heaven', the new single from Eliza Shaddad, certainly fits in to that category. The guitars feel like William the Conqueror's bluesy, rootsy vibe but Shaddad's pure and warm voice gives this a Pretenders-esque vibe which you don't hear much of these days. There is hope, optimism and sincerity in this song and we all need a bit of that sometimes so props to the Scottish-Sudanese singer-songwriter for sharing these gifts with us. Oh, and check out the video too, it's beautiful.
