Carolesdaughter – Trailer Trash

This is the second release I’ve
been sent by Carolesdaughter and ‘Trailer Trash’ is a simple enough song on the
surface of it, but I like to delve a little deeper. There acoustic strum and
steady beat gives this a country vibe with a punk rock heart in the snapping
snare and groaning bass line. Listen to the lyrics, though, and this is a song
about hitting rock bottom with a no options left at the bottom of a bottle.
Then there’s the video which features our heroine with a face painted like a
Mexican wrestler who got dressed in a thrift store in the dark. Put all these
elements together, however, and it not only works but is a heady brew that intoxicates
the listener.
