Birmingham’s dark queen of
alt-pop is back with another slice of eroticism laced pop with a touch of the
macabre about it. ‘You’re Home Finally’ finds Please Prettylea in open mood,
telling her beau that she is there for the taking like tempting low hanging
fruit in the garden of Eden. The trademark hypnotic vocals and low bass notes
are punctuated with a sparse beat and the sense that if she wanted something
from you, Please Prettylea could charm it out of you whether you wanted to give
it up or not. As always, there is a heavily stylised video to go along with
this which just goes further in confirming Please Prettylea as one of the most
exciting female solo artists currently creating in the UK and that really is
high praise considering the standard of output at the moment.
