BSI – 25Lue/Donakallalagio

Icelandic pop duo BSI are
treating us to not one but two new singles ahead of their debut album in May so
the very least we can do is give them a listen. ‘25Lue’ comes with a beautiful
Studio Ghibli-esque video which works perfectly with the ambient melodies,
slightly sombre tone and gentle, almost spoken vocals. By contrast, ‘Donakallalagio’
throbs and pulses like an art-grunge track with yelped vocals and a punk spirit
running through it. You couldn’t get two more diverse tracks on a single
release which is what makes me so utterly drawn to this pair.
