I have now fully fallen for the
excellent Jaguar Jonze, which is great because the tunes keep on coming, the
latest being new single ‘Curled In’. From the get-go this is a galloping beast
in the vein of Muse’s ‘Knights of Cydonia’ but with Jonze’s icy cool alt-pop vocal
and swagger stealing the show. As the guitar notes chime out and those drums
keep thumping, you can almost picture the Tarantino that this film deserves to
be on the soundtrack for and, if you listen carefully, you can hear the tears
of Madonna, Taylor Swift, Kylie and the rest of the pop illuminati crying in to
their Champagne that this isn’t their song.
