Altrincham trio Horsemeat aren’t
messing around on new single ‘Jibber Jabber’ which hits hard with mighty meaty
riffs from the word go. It would be no overstatement to say this track reminds
me of Reuben collaborating with Young Knives at their darkest which, for me at
least, is a tantalising prospect. The grinding, dirty riffs and head pounding
drums make for an assault on the senses that is entirely welcome albeit brutal,
while the vocals scream in your ear like your conscience when it’s had enough
of you not listening to it. Not a tune you want to meet down a dark alley on
rainy night, that’s for sure.
