Emma Kelly – The Thought

London alt-pop newcomer Emma Kelly
brings ‘The Thought’ to the table and I think you might just like it. Musically,
this has big pop ambitions along the lines of Katy Perry, Demi Lovato or Taylor
Swift with bouncing bass notes, a pulsing beat and slick production. This is,
however, matched by vocals that are more along the lines of Lily Allen, Kate
Nash or Jamie T in terms of delivery and personality. I have a feeling we might
be hearing more of Emma Kelly and based on the evidence of this single that’s
no bad thing.
