I’ve noticed an increase in music
from Northern Irish musicians coming my way recently and I am all for it,
particularly if this new release from Belfast quartet Big Daisy is anything to
go by. ‘Bee Mine’ has a gentle, Beach House meets Tennis vibe about it with the
vocals of Ciara King drifting airily over dreamy guitars and laid-back drums.
This feels like the kind of track that would play over the closing credits of a
lo-fi indie film as the main protagonists head off into the sunset driving an
ice-cream van and being thoroughly in love. Gorgeous, gorgeous stuff.
