Dublin’s Aby Coulibaly has that
effortlessly cool, soul infused thing going on and I’m a sucker for that vibe,
so this tune had me hooked in from the get-go. ‘Long Nights’ has a laid-back
beat, mellow keys and a warm bass line that keeps things bobbing along which is
all well and good but it’s Coulibaly’s voice that sells this one with its timeless
quality and smooth tone. Throw in the switch up to some rapped lines in the
middle eight and you’ve got yourself the kind of track that will work on both
sides of the Atlantic and at every kind of party when you want to change the mood
to get more chill.
