2021 continues to steadily outperform
2020 on a number of levels and things just kicked up a notch with the return of
the mighty William the Conqueror. The Cornwall based trio are back with ‘Quiet Life’
ahead of their new album, due out in March. There is the gloriously mellow
vocal of frontman Ruarri Joseph which I have come to know and love as well as
the familiar chug’n’swell format that tugs at the heart strings without you
noticing. This is augmented by some deftly played piano keys and a real sense
of wiping the slate clean before moving on to pastures new. Beautiful and
sincere as always, welcome back.
