New York’s Lew McKenzie has laid down this new jam and it is
honestly one of the most beautiful things I’ve had in my ears in some time. ‘Masterpiece’
is crafted out of the purest soul stone and embellished with funk jewels which would
be perfect for a little roller-rink action if we were allowed out of our
houses. There’s a hypnotic bassline that reminds me of a loose Lemon Jelly vibe
while the vocals are unassuming and easy but no less impressive in their
soulful smoothness. Lew McKenzie is new to me but certainly one I’m going to be
keeping my ears on based on this track.
