When you'v already played Steven Segall's daughter on screen at the age of 10 you might wonder where else there is to go in terms of life goals but Deva St John has found a fertile new furrow to plough. The new single 'Reckless' is a powerful and catchy rock-pop number that plays the loud-vs-quiet card at exactly the right time. The sheer size and force of the chorus puts me in mind of early Alanis or any number of American pop stars starting to explore their more gritty and edgy side. Oh, and I haven't mentioned the raw power and precision of the vocals either which would be more than enough normally but this song pushes the limits in every area and I'm all for that.
