Oh wow, this is a bit gorgeous.
It’s not often that you come across a new artist who feels so instantly like
the finished article but Raquel Lily ticks that box for me. Born in the
Philippines but currently calling Atlanta home, Raquel Lily has a voice to rival
Amy Winehouse but with a Motown soul to it and new single ‘Heartstrings’ is the
perfect vehicle for that voice. This is a slow dance number, for sure, but
don’t go thinking this is a straight up love song. No, this is a mushroom trip
inspired ode to love and considerations of polyamory set to some sweet keys and
the kind of beat that insists on you moving your hips. Stunning stuff.
