I’m a sucker for a bass line and
this new track from New York art punkers Gustaf has a simple but effective bass
line that hooks you in from the word go. ‘Design’ is all angles and clashes
with reminds of the much missed Looker as well elements of Maximo Park, the
Long Blondes and LCD Soundsystem. The main thing here is that Gustaf are having
a huge amount of fun exploring a whole load of creative avenues and that comes
through in every note, every frame of the video and in every toot on the Kazoo.
