Norwegian alt-pop princess Fanny Andersen is all lined up and ready to join the
ranks of the sad banger genre. ‘Pretty Girls Are Never Lonely’ would normally
be the soundtrack to the end of a thousand Christmas office parties as the
prettiest girl gets plied with booze and surrounded by every guy in the office.
The piano melody and forlorn trumpet give away the tone of this piece but its
Andersen’s pure and emotive vocal that seals the deal as the cello’s get you
right in the feels. A timely reminder that looks can be deceiving.
