You’ve got to love Toronto’s DYLYN. She keeps knocking out
these great tracks and every time she takes a different turn, only held
together by her trademark voice. ‘Only Us’ has a dark underbelly to it but
there’s a sense of hope in the way innocent prisoners hope for release one day –
it’s the hope that keeps you alive. This goes beyond alt-pop in to the world of
emo-pop and the superb anime video makes the perfect accompaniment. “There is
only us, you make my fears get smaller”. Perfect.
