It is a genuine delight to be
able to introduce you to Victoria Klewin and, in particular, the Bristolian
singer’s superb vocal talents. Klewin’s new single is ‘Straight and Narrow’ and
it opens with soft, brooding piano tones that come straight from the smoky Jazz
bar at around half past closing time. Then comes the soulful, doleful tones of
Klewin’s voice which lounge luxuriously out across the night with style,
substance and no short amount of beauty. There are hints of Plymouth’s Joanna
Cooke about the modern take on the Jazz and Soul genres but Klewin has a voice that
is very much her own and one that you would do well to listen to.
