Emeline are four-piece from the
Devon/Cornwall border and ‘Adore’ is the title track of their new EP which is
out for your pleasure right now. There is a brooding menace to this track which
perfectly matches the lyrical content of being in a love/hate relationship. The
gentle grunge aesthetic is addictive and puts me in mind of the likes of Hole,
Veruca Salt, Lush, Pixies and the Breeders but with a very British tone and a
razor sharp edge to the delivery that makes this a thoroughly engaging and
enthralling new release. It also makes Emeline a band that we should all pay
attention to as we slide in to 2021.
