multi-talented musician Alexander Gold and his new single ‘Darling BOY’ shows
off his talents beautifully. A disorientating bass rumble and a clatter of drums
and guitars get things going and we’re immediately swept away on a magic carpet
through a paisley cloudscape. There’s the swagger of latter day Oasis or more
recent Jake Bugg, an inevitable Beatles vibe and even a bit of Doves in here
but none of that stops this sounding fresh and necessary which is a great thing
and not to be underestimated.
