Sarah Klang may well be a new name
to you but she’s already bagged herself a Swedish Grammy and considering how good
the quality of Sweden’s musical output has been in recent years that is nothing
to be sniffed at. Klang’s latest release, ‘Canyon’, has a dark underside to it
that is complimented by Klang’s soulful pop vocal that is not unlike Robyn at
her most vulnerable. An infectious guitar hook and moody bass notes make this
fit in alongside the likes of Fleetwood Mac at their very best and I think this
would do well on long, late night drives through the rain when you have plenty
to think about and a fair amount to regret.
